Having served as an ambassador to Qatar and Eritrea, Demirok expressed his honor in representing Türkiye in Ashgabat. He highlighted the presentation of his credentials to President Serdar Berdimuhamedov on January 8, 2024, expressing gratitude for the warm welcome.
Ambassador Demirok underscored the significance of high-level visits between Turkmenistan and Türkiye, emphasizing the strengthened bonds in politics, economics, trade, and culture between the two nations.
In particular, he highlighted President Serdar Berdimuhamedov's inaugural official visit to Türkiye on October 25-26, 2023, and the subsequent Turkmen-Turkish Business Forum, emphasizing the bilateral agreements signed during the visit.
Acknowledging Türkiye as the first country to recognize Turkmenistan's independence and establish an embassy in Ashgabat, Ambassador Demirok affirmed Türkiye's support for Turkmenistan's status of permanent neutrality. He noted the successful involvement of Turkish companies in vital projects in Turkmenistan throughout its years of independence.
