The Asian Development Bank (ADB) is considering a $50 million loan for a regional project, “Modernization of Border Posts for Integration, Logistics, and Development,” in which Turkmenistan is a participant.
The initiative is regional in scope and also involves Azerbaijan, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia, Pakistan, China, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan, Report said Monday, citing the ADB.
Funding is expected to come from the ADB’s ordinary capital resources. Project concept approval is scheduled for November 26, 2027, with loan approval anticipated in 2028.
The ADB is an international financial institution established to support sustainable economic growth and development in Asia and the Pacific through loans, grants, and technical assistance.
