A Turkmen delegation will take part in international Windsor equestrian events scheduled to be held in London under the auspices of the British royal family, officials said Friday.
Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Minister of Foreign Affairs Rashid Meredov reported on preparations for participation during a government meeting. The event, to be held in the United Kingdom, is expected to bring together international participants in the field of equestrian sports.
According to state media, preparations are also underway to organize an exhibition dedicated to Akhal-Teke horses and the traditions of Turkmen horse breeding as part of the event.
Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Tangryguly Atahallуyev said preparations are ongoing for participation in equestrian competitions, the “Pearl of the East” beauty contest, and the conference “Akhal-Teke Horse — A Symbol of Friendship of Peoples,” which will be held in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.
President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized the importance of proper preparation for the working visit of the Turkmen delegation to London on May 16–17 and to Uzbekistan on May 9–10, held within the framework of the year “Independent neutral Turkmenistan — the homeland of purposeful winged horses,” and issued relevant instructions.
The Cabinet of Ministers meeting also reviewed the results of work carried out in Turkmenistan over the first four months of the year, along with other issues of state importance, with relevant decisions adopted.
