Turkmenistan’s “Amatly çözgüt” IT company and South Korea’s “S&T System Inc.” have signed an agreement to establish the first Turkmen-Korean "Ýerli Tor” IT company in Turkmenistan, as part of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov’s state visit to South Korea. The agreement was among several documents signed to strengthen business cooperation between the two countries, a specialist from “Amatly çözgüt” told Business Turkmenistan.
The planned joint venture will establish a manufacturing base in Turkmenistan to produce servers, data storage systems and network equipment. Under the project, the Korean side will provide technology, technical solutions and manufacturing expertise, while the Turkmen side will be responsible for organizing production, developing the necessary infrastructure and adapting the equipment to the needs of the domestic market.
The company is expected to assemble, configure and test equipment and integrate it with software. It will also carry out quality control and provide warranty and post-warranty services. The joint venture will also seek to increase local production, introduce new technologies and train Turkmen specialists. Equipment manufactured by the company is expected to be used by government agencies, major enterprises, data centers and other critical infrastructure facilities.
Separately, “Ojar Aziýa” private company and “S&T System Inc.” signed a memorandum of understanding on developing road infrastructure and systems for managing security and transport infrastructure. The agreements are aimed at opening new areas of technological and manufacturing cooperation between companies from the two countries.
