Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan (UIET) hosted the delegation of the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) led by the head of the Organization's Eurasia Division William Thomson, the Union announced in a press release on Thursday
The Union member informed the OECD delegation, which visited Turkmenistan for the first time, about the structure and main economic indicators of the UIET, as well as the achievements of the organization in the implementation of large projects in various industries.
The guests, in turn, showed interest in studying the Turkmen market and the role of private business in it.
The OECD is made up of 36 member countries from North and South America to Europe and Asia Pacific which includes the world’s most advanced countries and emerging economies. Its mission is to promote policies to improve the economic and social-well-being of people around the world.
