Turkmen tourism enterprises participated in the ITB Asia international travel exhibition, which is held on October 16-18 in Singapore.
The twelfth edition of the largest exhibition in Asia, part of the international ITB network, has broken record for the number of exhibitors with drawing over 1300 of them from 130 countries. The exhibition expects more than 11,000 visitors and plans 25,000 business meetings. According to the organizers of the exhibition, the event gathers leading representatives of the travel industry from around the world in one place. Among the participants are travel associations, hotels, airlines, MICE agencies, travel agencies and tourism IT developers. The exhibition is accompanied by a rich business program.
The exposition of Turkmenistan presented here immediately turned out to be in the center of special attention of the organizers and visitors of this prestigious exhibition. Turkmenistan’s leisure and travel industry is represented by four private travel companies - Balkansyýahat, Aziýanyn Merjeni, Oguzabat, Gadamsyýahat. Rowaç Syýahat enterprise of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan organized the participation of Turkmen companies in the leading Asian exhibition.
In addition to the main tourism products and the proposed travel routes, the Turkmen stand presents historical and architectural monuments, including those that are in the UNESCO World Heritage List, unique natural attractions, white marble Ashgabat and the Avaza National Tourist Zone, magnificent Ahal-Teke horses and the famous Turkmen rugs. Turkmenistan stands also aquaint foreign tour operators and travel enthusiasts with national holidays, customs and traditions that gather many foreign visitors and tourists in Turkmenistan.
According to the World Tourism Organization, the number of international tourists will reach 1.8 billion by 2030. Asia-Pacific region will alone account for 535 million, or about 30 percent of the total number of international tourists by 2030.
All the members of the Turkmen delegation are expected to hold meetings and negotiations, participate in round tables and discussions during all three days of the exhibition.
