Türkmengaz State Concern will purchase pipes of various diameters and other equipment necessary for drilling wells at the Galkynysh gas field from Sumitomo Corporation Europe Ltd. (Great Britain).
At a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan on Friday, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Myratgeldy Meredov presented to the President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov a draft resolution for the conclusion of a contract between the Turkmengaz State Concern and the British company.
The Head of State signed a decree on the procurement of material and technical resources by the Turkmengaz State Concern.
According to a document prepared for the successful implementation of the tasks set for the country's gas industry in accordance with the Turkmenistan Oil and Gas Industry Development Program for the Period till 2030, Türkmengaz is allowed to conclude a contract with Sumitomo Corporation Europe Ltd.
During the governmental meeting, the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Meredov briefed on the measures taken to expand exploration aimed at identifying new hydrocarbon deposits, accelerating the industrial development of oil and gas fields, and increasing the volume of oil and gas production and processing.
