Turkmenistan Temporarily Suspends China Flights Over Coronavirus
Turkmenistan Airlines plans to arrange special flights for the return of Turkmen citizens from China.

Turkmenistan Airlines announced on Thursday that it temporarily suspends flights to Beijing starting February to prevent the spread of coronavirus. The country’s flag carrier will at the same time temporarily suspend flights to Bangkok, Thailand.

Turkmenistan Airlines also plans to arrange special flights for the return of Turkmen citizens from China.

National carrier of Turkmenistan also postponed the regular flights, scheduled for February, to Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia) to March.

Turkmenistan Airlines said that it took such measures in order to ensure the safety of passengers and crew members, adding that the company will notify in advance the information on the resumption of the flights.

In order to carry out preventive measures against the spread of coronavirus, most of the world’s airlines have suspended flights to China.
