Turkmen Company Commissions New Five-Hectare Tomato Greenhouse
Halal Dogan company plans to annually receive 1,200 tons of tomatoes from a 5-hectare greenhouse.

The opening ceremony of the new greenhouse of the Halal Dogan Individual Enterprise was held on Saturday in Mary etrap in Turkmenistan’s southeastern velayat of Mary. The facility was constructed by Dört Paslyň Berekedi Individual Enterprise.

The company plans to grow Bandito variety of tomatoes brought from Turkey in the 5-hectare greenhouse and annually receive 1,200 tons of the crops.

In an interview with the Türkmenistan newspaper, the head of the Halal Dogan Individual Enterprise Serdar Berdiyev said the commissioning of the greenhouse created more than 40 new jobs.

The company initially plans to deliver its products to the domestic market and in the near future, to enter the markets of the neighboring countries, according to Berdiyev.

The agricultural producer also intends to construct another 5-hectare greenhouse near the current facility to grow vegetables such as bell pepper and eggplant. The businessman expects to commission the new greenhouse in 2021.
