In the city of Bayramali in Turkmenistan’s southeastern velayat of Mary, the construction works of new Turkmen carpet weaving enterprise have been completed by 78%, Türkmenistan newspaper reported on Tuesday.
The 5th construction and assembly enterprise of the Marynebitgazgurluşyk department carries out the construction of the building.
To date, the construction of the administrative center of the enterprise and its production workshop have already been completed. The construction of the facility that will employ 150 people will be completed on time, according to the report.
Construction of new facility of Turkmen carpet weaving enterprise in Ahal velayat’s Baherden etrap is also at its final stages.
Modern carpet enterprises will soon also open in Gubadag etrap of Dashoguz velayat and Halach etrap of Lebap velayat.
Türkmenhaly State Association is the main supplier of renowned Turkmen handmade pure-wool carpets from Turkmenistan to the global markets. The association includes eight enterprises for the production of traditional Turkmen carpets and these enterprises in turn contain over 100 carpet weaving sites and workshops located in all velayats of Turkmenistan. The enterprises employ more than 5,000 carpet-weavers.
