New Private Greenhouse Appears in Turkmenistan’s Balkan Velayat
The five-hectare greenhouse is designed for growing vegetables and fruits.

A new greenhouse, owned by entrepreneur Halmammet Amanmammedov, was commissioned in Balkanabat city of Turkmenistan’s Balkan velayat, Türkmenistan newspaper reported on Monday.

The five-hectare greenhouse, equipped with advanced machinery from Turkish and Dutch manufacturers, is designed for growing vegetables and fruits.

Entrepreneur Amanmammedov said that tomatoes have begun to bear fruit in the vegetable compartment, and the first crop is planned to be harvested in the end of November.

According to the businessman, the greenhouse has the capacity to grow about 1,000 tons of tomatoes annually. The entrepreneur plans to start growing cucumbers and bell peppers at the greenhouse next year.

Entrepreneur Amanmammedov, with around ten years of business experience, also plans to construct a modern enterprise for the industrial processing of fruits and vegetables grown in the new greenhouse.
