Uzbekistan plans to launch the assembly of LADA and Renault cars. The project will be implemented as part of the country’s investment program for 2021-2023, UzDaily news outlet reported last Thursday.
The investment program for 2021-2023 was approved by the Resolution of the President of Uzbekistan on December 28, 2020.
According to the report, it is expected that the assembly of LADA and Renault cars will be launched at the ADM-Jizzakh plant in the Jizzakh free economic zone.
The cost of the project is around $60.9 million. In 2021, it is planned to disburse $33.3 million in investments.
The design capacity of the production will be up to 100 thousand vehicles per year.
