Members of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan (UIET) on Saturday took part in an online meeting dedicated to the development of greenhouses, in which they exchanged experiences with their colleagues from Turkey.
The online meeting also gathered representatives of the Turkish Embassy in Turkmenistan, the EBRD Representative Office in Ashgabat, the Turkmen-Turkish Joint-Stock Commercial Bank, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Turkey, the UIET reports.
Representatives of the Antalya Chamber of Commerce and Agriculture, the Greenhouse Construction and Equipment Manufacturers and Exporters Association, and leading Turkish agro-industrial companies briefed about new technologies and methods of growing vegetables and fruits in greenhouses.
The meeting participants emphasized that in the current period, the successful implementation of production plans for greenhouses can significantly accelerate the post-pandemic economic recovery.
Agricultural producers in Turkmenistan in January-April 2021 increased their output of vegetables by 26.7% compared to the same period in 2020.
