President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov, during a meeting with Minister of Economy of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Abdulla bin Touq Al Marri on Monday in Ashgabat, emphasized that the country, possessing vast hydrocarbon resources, aims to develop this sector through diversification and confirmed readiness to deepen cooperation in this direction.

According to the official media of Turkmenistan, UAE Minister of Economy Abdulla bin Touq Al Marri led his country's delegation to Ashgabat to participate in the Turkmenistan-UAE business forum.

The Head of State noted that the Turkmen-Emirati business forum organized in Ashgabat would contribute to strengthening ties between our countries and exchanging views on new directions for bilateral cooperation.

The meeting highlighted the increasing indicators of bilateral trade. To strengthen productive ties in this area, the sides emphasized the necessity of maintaining coordinated contacts between the state bodies of both countries, creating favorable conditions for trade development, and conducting mutual business events and conferences.

Abdulla bin Touq Al Marri highlighted the interest of UAE business circles in strengthening their positions in the promising Turkmen market.

Serdar Berdimuhamedov invited Emirati companies to participate in major international energy projects being implemented in Turkmenistan and expressed support for realizing their investment potential.

National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov also met with UAE Minister of Economy Abdulla bin Touq Al Marri, who arrived in the country on a working visit.
