The Innovation and Information Center of the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan launched a unified electronic platform for teachers, parents and schoolchildren called "E-mekdep," which became a significant step in the digitalization of education in the country.
The electronic system allows parents to effectively monitor their children's learning process, providing real-time information about attendance, academic performance, lesson topics, homework, teacher notes and interest in various subjects. This information is accessible anytime, whether at work or home, online, via SMS or digital notifications through the "E-mekdep" mobile app.
Student grades are analyzed using special programs, devices and algorithms of the "E-mekdep" system. This system enables parents to promptly connect with teachers and receive information about school educators. Currently, the "E-mekdep" platform is implemented in all general education schools in Ashgabat and the city of Arkadag, with plans for expansion to other regions.
Such digital services are widely used in many developed countries. In Turkmenistan, work on the platform began in 2021, and it has been tested and significantly improved in several schools. The "E-mekdep" system is now fully active, and its mobile app can be downloaded from Google Play or the App Store.
