The Guwlyduz plant, located in the Guvlymayak settlement of the Turkmenbashy district in Balkan velayat, extracted a total of 97,600 tons of salt last year, as reported by the official media of Turkmenistan on Tuesday.
This result indicates that the plan was fulfilled with an excess of more than 2,000 tons.
Technical salt is also produced here, which is widely used in the country's fuel and energy complex for purifying petroleum products, in the textile industry for enhancing the color of yarn, for maintaining the normal operation of heating systems, and in many other fields.
Guwlyduz is one of the leading enterprises of the Türkmenhimiýa State Concern and is the first in the region and the fourth in the world in the production of table salt.
In the reporting year, the task of packaging table salt in special containers was accomplished at 102.4%. Last year, the volume of coarse salt produced here exceeded the planned amount by 4,000 tons.
