Representatives of major international financial institutions and investors will attend the Turkmenistan Investment Forum (TIF 2026), which will be held in Ashgabat on Oct. 1–2, the event’s organizer, Turkmen Congres, reported in a press release.
Representatives of the World Bank, International Finance Corporation (IFC), Asian Development Bank (ADB), European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and World Association of Investment Promotion Agencies (WAIPA) will participate in the forum. Representatives of government agencies, international organizations and business groups from more than 45 countries are expected to attend the event.
Participants will include Armenia’s Economy Minister Gevorg Papoyan; Prince Mansour bin Mohammed Al Saud, chairman of Najd Gate Holding; Hamad Mohammed Al-Nasr, development director for trade promotion and investment promotion at Qatar’s Ministry of Commerce and Industry; Yom Ki Hun, president of ONU H&C Co., Ltd.; and Dr. Mehdi Heydari, deputy minister of economy of Iran and head of Iran’s Organization for Investment, Economic and Technical Assistance.
The main areas of the business program include energy and petrochemicals, the transition to green development, transport and logistics, the Caspian region, the digital economy and artificial intelligence, agriculture and the agro-industrial complex, tourism, urban infrastructure development, and investment opportunities related to water resources.
TIF 2026 is organized by the Ministry of Finance and Economy and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan in cooperation with Turkmen Congres. The forum will be held at the Yyldyz Hotel in Ashgabat in the year marking the 35th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s independence.
