Turkmen Carpet Company to Create 500 Jobs for Women
Anyk Economic Society produces a large selection of products, including souvenir rugs, custom-made carpets of 400 square meters, portrait and landscape rugs.

Anyk Economic Society currently carries out the construction of the Turkmen carpet weaving enterprise, which will employ 500 women, in Lebap velayat’s Halach etrap in the northeastern Turkmenistan.

In an interview with the Ashgabat-based Rysgal newspaper, the head of the Anyk Rustem Nurliyev said the company produces variety of carpet products, which are also sold in its specialized shop in Berkarar Shopping and Entertainment Center.

“With the commissioning of the new enterprise in Halach, an additional 500 jobs will be created for skilled craftswomen. In addition, we plan to expand the range of products,” said Nurliyev.

According to the businessman, the company produces a large selection of products, including souvenir rugs, custom-made carpets of 400 square meters, portrait and landscape rugs.

Anyk Economic Society also produces Turkmen national clothes.

Turkmen carpet weaving enterprise, employing over 2,200 women, also operates in the Halach etrap. Currently, the construction of a branch of this large plant, owned by the Türkmenhaly (Turkmen Carpets) State Association, is carried out by the Altyn gül Individual Enterprise. The new branch will employ over 100 people.
