The Electronic Tax system is introduced into the document management of the Tax Administration and other subordinate organizations of the Ministry of Finance and Economy of Turkmenistan, the State News Agency of Turkmenistan (TDH) reported on Thursday.
According to the report, the main goal of the system is to switch to a digital format of receiving tax returns from taxpayers, which will, on the one hand, simplify the reporting system, and, on the other, strengthen control over the collection of tax payments, including providing taxpayers with information on debts to the State budget of the country.
In addition, the introduction of the Electronic Tax system will allow to carry out desk audits in electronic format, without inviting the taxpayers to the relevant tax authorities and on the basis of tax declarations (calculations) to carry out other documentation processes.
At the second stage, activities will be carried out with credit institutions to establish electronic document management, which will enable online tax payments.
On July 1 this year, the Ministry of Finance and Economy has introduced electronic document management in its Central Office, the Main Departments of Finance and Economy of the city of Ashgabat and velayats, and in all subordinate structures.
