On Friday, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov held an expanded Cabinet of Ministers meeting via a digital system, during which Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers B. Annammammedov reported on steps being taken to transform Turkmenistan into an industrially developed nation. These steps include establishing modern production facilities that will manufacture high-demand, import-substituting, and export-oriented goods using local raw materials.

The report highlighted ongoing efforts to supply large construction projects, economic sectors, and the public with adequate building materials.

Due to the increasing demand for ferroalloys both domestically and internationally, the possibility of building a ferroalloy plant in Turkmenistan is currently being explored. In this regard, a proposal was submitted to the President for consideration.

After hearing the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized the importance of the ongoing programs aimed at the industrial development of the country and the efficient use of local raw materials.

In response, the President instructed the Deputy Prime Minister to carry out the necessary work to conduct a feasibility study for the construction of a ferroalloy production plant in Turkmenistan.
