Private businesses in Turkmenistan’s northeastern velayat of Lebap continue to actively participate in the regular provision of meat and dairy products to the population.

Businessman Shohrat Sayipov keeps hundreds of Holstein cows brought from Germany, which are distinguished with their high milk productivity, in his livestock complex. The cows in the complex yield nearly 550 liters of milk daily. The private farm employs 15 specialists.

Last year, work was carried out only on 70% of the land allocated for the farm. This year farming activities are carried out on a wider territory. The farmers harvest forage on 265 hectares of land allocated on the bank of the Karakum River.

Several private livestock complexes are currently under construction in the velayat. Businessman Narov carries out the construction of the complex intended for breeding 5 thousand birds a year. The businessman was allotted a land plot for the cultivation of fodder crops for birds.

Geçit Individual Enterprise is presently constructing a complex designed for keeping 300 cattle in the Dovletli etrap. The construction of two such complexes is also underway in Charjev etrap. In the complexes of businessmen Hasanov and Shadmanov, construction works are in its final stages.
