Austrian Companies Express Interest in Participation in Ashgabat City Project

Leading Austrian construction companies during online negotiations with Turkmen government agencies and entrepreneurs held last Tuesday expressed interest in participation in the implementation of Ashgabat City project, Orient news outlet reports.

The event, organized by the Austrian-Turkmen Society with the assistance of the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Vienna, was attended by heads of companies operated by Zeman group, including Zeman Bauelemente Produktions GmbH, Waagner Biro Steel and Glass and Waagner Biro Bridge Systems AG.

General Director of Zeman Bauelemente Produktions GmbH Peter Zeman expressed his readiness to start negotiations on business cooperation with the public and private sectors of Turkmenistan on the joint production of metal structures for the construction of buildings and structures.

General Director of Waagner Biro Steel and Glass Johann Sishka expressed interest in participating in the building of unique objects with designer steel and glass facades planned within the Ashgabat City project, as well as in the construction of a 300-meter monument in honor of the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan's independence.

Waagner Biro Bridge Systems AG Vice President Peter Hackl said the company is interested in participating in projects for the construction of elevated pedestrian crossings in Ashgabat and in other parts of the country.

Zeman Group includes more than 20 companies in various countries and has 55 years of experience in the steel and mechanical engineering sector, the construction of automated lines and robotics for the production of steel beams. Zeman has been supplying steel structures to Turkmenistan since 2012.
