Soft Skills Trainer
Department: Turkmenistan - Youth Development Activity (YDA)
Location: Ashgabat, Ashgabat City
Overall Objective and Purpose:
To further YDA’s mission, we will hire a soft skills trainer to design and implement a comprehensive soft skills training program. This program will complement existing hard skill trainings by equipping participants with the necessary soft skills to excel in the modern workforce. The trainer will focus on key areas including communication, teamwork, emotional intelligence, crafting professional resumes, interview techniques, stress management, navigating the job search process, adapting to change and others.
Responsibilities:
The Local Soft Skills Trainer will be responsible for the following:
- Designing a comprehensive soft skills training program that complements the existing hard skill trainings organized by YDA.
- Organizing and conducting engaging training sessions focused on various soft skills.
- Collaborating with other trainers and YDA staff to integrate soft skills training into the broader curriculum effectively.
- Monitoring and evaluating the progress of participants, providing feedback and additional support as needed.
- Assisting in the development of soft skills-related materials such as handouts, instructional videos, and online resources.
Requirements:
Education:
- A higher education degree in social sciences, education, business administration, or other related fields.
- Additional qualifications in the relevant area are an advantage.
Work Experience:
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in soft skills training or related fields.
- Proven track record of designing and implementing training programs.
- Strong facilitation, presentation, and public speaking skills.
Language Skills:
- Written and spoken proficiency in Turkmen or Russian is required.
- Knowledge of English is an asset.
- Expected period of implementation: May - December 2024
