Job title: Technical Assessor-Operations
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and deliver outstanding operations training and assessment activities that will engage both engineers and technicians workers within the gas sector, in order to impact their operation technical knowledge, via the use of classroom and on-job assessment/coaching. Responsible to meet the client expectation, meet student learning objectives and contribute to the program's overall performance targets. Responsible for delivering high-quality competency programs to our client, ensuring that they are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge allowing them to carry out the operations standalone.
- Design and deliver high-quality gas facility operation competency programs tailored to the unique needs of the gas industry.
- Familiar with the preparation of operation courses in gas facilities courses and assessments, including static equipment courses, rotary equipment courses, piping and instrument, valves, utility, boiler courses.
- Design, develop and deliver Operations training and assessment programs for personnel involved in the operation of downstream gas facilities.
- Ensure that the operations training and assessment activities align with industry-specific standards and equip students with the necessary skills and knowledge for success in the gas sector.
- Interfacing with TMS and CMS systems – recording assessment results, feedback reporting, etc.
- Development of competency criteria and role profiles relevant to area of expertise
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices.
- Employ modern training techniques to enhance the learning experience, mirroring real-world scenarios.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate student progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Any other duty as may be assigned.
- Strong HSE awareness and responsible for team compliance with Petrofac life-saving rules This includes performing risk assessment and identifying appropriate mitigation strategies to ensure safe operations.
- Responsible for driving continuous improvement in HSE standards to build a proactive safety culture within the operations and maintenance team.
- Have a full awareness of the Company Code of Conduct and Business Ethics
- Interact with Quality Assurance for quality issues; strictly ensure compliance with Company’s ISO Quality procedures.
- Working knowledge of discipline engineering codes and standards necessary operate and maintain assets on gas processing field.
- Working knowledge of commissioning, operations, and maintenance activities for downstream gas facilities.
- Fully conversant with the technical documentation available from EPC Contractor and OEMs pertaining to discipline equipment.
- Extensive knowledge of managing and performing troubleshooting on related systems and equipment
- Compile / distribute comprehensive training & assessment reports.
- Report and assist in the investigation of accidents and incidents and provide all necessary assistance to investigating officer.
- Perform in Emergency Response role as defined in Company’s Emergency Response Manual
- Responsible in maintaining Petrofac HSSE Policies, Life Saving Rules & Standards and perform assigned tasks and duties in accordance with instructions, safety rules/procedures, regulations and codes of practice.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
- Bachelor’s degree or relevant recognized diploma / vocational qualifications
- Recognized Assessor qualification, with IQA qualification desirable.
- Recognized teaching / training qualification.
- Minimum 10 years' experience in related field and specialty with experience with International Major Gas Companies and work in the CIS region.
- Minimum of 4 years previous experience of technical training delivery and assessment.
- Site work experience in Turkmenistan, is preferred.
- Previous experience of developing, reviewing, and upgrading training materials
- Previous experience developing competency criteria and role profiles.
- OPITO Certified H2S training certificate, is preferred.
- Current knowledge of international best practice in the field of operation training.
- Experience and knowledge of working under IOGP lifesaving rules (this includes, but not limited to working in confined spaces and working at height)
- Knowledge and understanding of safe system of work and CMMS work order management process.
- Experience to work in Gas processing facilities and sites operating with acid gas (high H2S content)
- Current CompEx / ATEX certification (EX01-04)
- Work experience of operating under GOST standards is preferred.
