Job Purpose

To be the owner of all Slickline and well intervention downhole tools.

Job Responsibilities

• Be responsible of all Downhole tools and accessories in workshop.
• Redress all downhole tools, plugs, jet pumps and other accessories. Send to locations where they need them and receive used tools from executed jobs.
• Always be ahead of planned jobs and ready with tools on the shelf, redressed and green tagged.
• Identify malfunctioning tools and red tag them. Repair whatever is repairable and destroy whatever is beyond repair.
• Store tools in standard conditions with all threads protected, seals covered, away from corrosion, stress, or other factors that contribute to tools deteriorating. Store lithium batteries in air-conditioned containers and standard conditions as per recommended API standard and MSDS.
• Program all downhole memory gauges and any other electronic tools that might be run using S/L. track their calibration and calibrate whenever due. Track lithium batteries life and advise WS material controller and Senior Slickline Supervisor on min/ max quantities and required orders to avoid any operational delays due to non-sufficient batteries or batteries life.
• Ensure that operators are fully aware of the operations requirement and preparation prior running these tools
• Filling up checklist for all repaired downhole tools, as well as tracking of tools and inventories, which was issued from the workshop. Create tracking numbers (different from the manufacturer one) engrave on the tool as a WS specific serial number. SL Tool Specialist needs to know at any given time where is each piece, whether on shelf, being run in well, lost in hole as a fish or red tagged waiting for further repairs.
• As per schedule or if required should testing wires on Slickline Units.
• Maintain good relationship and cooperation with staff as well as with superior.

Qualification Requirements:

• Candidate should possess at least a Technical Slickline primary vocation education.
• At least 3 years’ experience in Slick Line activities. 
• Should be has knowledge of PC operation and knowledge of English would be an asset.
• Have an experience with most of Slick Line Downhole tools, Electronic Gauges and Surface Equipment.
• Have an experience with the Fishing operations by Solid or Braided line wires.
